Who I am

I grew up inspired to be like my mom. She’s Chinese, an entrepreneur, a creative thinker, and someone who’s always taken the unconventional path. She was a dancer in China and hustled on the side to support herself, eventually selling her company and immigrating to America. Watching her dance made me fall in love with movement. I wanted to be a ballerina just like her. She was my teacher and she always told me creativity is just in some people’s blood.

My mom is extremely empathetic, and that inspired me just as much as her hard work. Her empathy taught me to approach dance differently, not just as a performance but as a way to connect with people. She showed me how to feel the story behind the movement and express it in a way that connects with the audience.

What I loved most about ballet was how physically demanding it is, yet you’re expected to make it look effortless. People are drawn to it not just for its beauty but also for its emotional storytelling, technical mastery, and the way it blends strength with creativity. Even when I realized ballet wouldn’t be my path, I knew creativity always would be.

What I’ve always loved most is connection. Dance lets people tell stories without words, and that ability to connect emotionally stayed with me. I turned my passion for dance into a love for storytelling and art. I started loving my art classes, but when I took a mass media class in high school, I realized I wanted to pursue something that blended creativity and communication. This led me into advertising, where the ability to tell compelling stories is everything. Advertising allows me to evoke emotions and build connections with an audience, except now, I do it through visuals, messages, and ideas rather than movement.

I’m deeply empathetic and use that in all of my creative work. I naturally associate ideas and emotions, which helps me put myself in other people’s shoes. That’s how I create and communicate in ways that resonate with others. I approach advertising with the same creativity, empathy, and care I learned from my mom and my love for dance. It’s about truly listening, understanding people’s needs and desires, and communicating in a way that feels authentic and impactful.

In my work, these qualities help me build strong connections and create solutions that truly resonate with others. My empathy allows me to understand different perspectives and connect with people on a deeper level, making collaboration more effective. My charisma helps me communicate ideas in a way that inspires and motivates others. Lastly, my visionary mindset drives me to see possibilities where others may not, pushing me to think creatively and find innovative solutions.

I also believe in the power of perseverance, gratitude, and growth. If there’s something I don’t know, I’ll figure it out. I’ve always been driven to learn, overcome challenges, and continue evolving. This mindset, along with everything I’ve gained from my experiences, shapes the way I approach everything, whether it’s a personal goal or a professional project.
