Coming after the popular Grimace milkshake introduction, McDonalds was in the process of introducing a new McFlurry® flavor nationwide called the Peanut Butter Crunch. The dessert is made with vanilla soft serve and blended with crispy cereal mix and chunks of chocolatey peanut butter cookie. The treat, has 510 calories for a regular size and is available while supplies last. I worked on developing a comprehensive media plan for McDonald's to launch their new Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry®. The goal was to break through the competitive fast-food market and capture the attention of McDonald's target audience, which includes previous loyal fans of the McFlurry®and potential new customers. By creating a media strategy that incorporates paid, earned, and owned media, the objective was to drive awareness, boost sales, and increase the dessert user base in the U.S. from 2% to 5% within a four-week period, potentially leading to the flavor becoming a permanent menu item.
